What is Backgammon?
Backgammon is a two-player strategy board game in which each player races 15 checkers around a board of 24 points, aiming to bear them all off before the opponent. Dice rolls introduce an element of chance, but the depth of strategic choice — when to hit, when to anchor, when to run, and how to handle the doubling cube — makes backgammon one of the most skill-intensive games ever devised.
